down some weight....

I am happy to report that I am finally down some pounds! Whew. That took forever. Actually, I lost 10 lbs. in 6 weeks. I started spinning for a half hour religiously on tuesdays and thursdays. now that I am in California i am trying to go, but taking care of three kids makes it hard. So, officially, I am down 11 lbs. and need to shed 7 more for goal!

oh yeah, even the flu can't make me lose weight.

uh, yes. i had the flu bug for a little over 24 hours and i did not, i repeat, did not lose a pound.

i do not heart running.

seriously, why do people enjoy running? I do concede that while living in Bellingham there are amazing places to run at ever turn; the beach, the many trails that run through the town, the lakes, the gorgeous scenery in general. I really enjoyed being outside, but not running. Maybe because I suck at running and get too bored. I don't know what it is but i hate it. I wait for the endorphins to kick in, but i am sorry, when does that happen? Like, how long into a run must i be before the "endorphins" kick in?

Okay, so having said that i decided i would give the treadmill a try during the winter. Man, if I hate running, i hate running on a treadmill even more. Boring. BOR-ING. So boring. I also wanted to give it a try because spin class was hurting my neck a ton (past car accident) and i had overheard random people talking about how running was the only thing that took the weight off, blah blah blah. So, i am trying it.


I am starting the old fashion way and just working up. I started running this last week and doing only a mile. This week I started to push it up to a mile and a half. This is huge for me because again, so boring. And, if anyone has any fun songs to download to my ipod, i am all ears.

Today I hauled all three kids to the gym to make it there by 9:00 am and I ran, did the stair thing, lifted weights and went to half a pilates class. i seriously got my can kicked in pilates class. It was ridiculous. It was a nice excuse to bail and go feed Ella.

And, speaking of nursing, i got my period back a couple weeks ago. I couldn't believe it! I ONLY nurse, no bottles, not even any pumping. I thought i was supposed to go a whole year without my friend. I can tell my milk supply is tanking and it could be a combo of not enough food, period, pre-period, whatever. Pick one, I am sure it isn't helping.
